The government's economic stimulus spending has already had its biggest impact and probably won't contribute to significant growth next year, a top White House adviser said Thursday.

This morning we learn a rather disturbing (but not surprising) bit of news that the Obama administration is hiring a contractor to mine internet data on individuals.  The objective is to "collect data such as comments, tag lines, e-mail, audio and video from any place where the White House maintains a presence – for a period of up to eight years."  You can read the details at the link:

A new Gallup poll shows a significant shift in voters identifying themselves as conservatives.  More Americans nationwide are saying this year that they are conservative than have made that claim in any of the last four years.

There appears to be a seismic shift in the perception of Americans on who has the best plan for Health Care Reform moving forward. Rasmussen Reports most has released results of a survey from August 13th that paints a grim picture for Democrats...

We at RC will continue to dive head-on into the 1017 page Health Care Bill and share the pertinent info that we find as it is discovered.  Today, we were shocked to see the effect the Bill will have on small businesses and their employees.  Section 312 and 313 of the Health Care Bill address the liability of businesses if they are not in compliance.  Section 312 outline the penalty scale that ranges from 2 to 8% of the yearly payroll for those businesses.  Are these penalties required if a business owner simply could not afford to provide insurance? We were able to consult James Gelfand, Senior Manager of Health Policy at the U.S Chamber of Commerce, and here is what he told us....
